Egyptian Fingering showcases the introduction of linen into our alpaca line of yarns. 50% Baby Alpaca blends perfectly with 25% Silk and 25% Linen. The use of linen, a cellulose fiber, with the two other protein fibers will create a muted effect in the final dyeing. However, because both alpaca and silk will drink up color, you may want to experiment a bit to determine how much color is the right amount of color for the effects you want to create. You are in for a beautiful dye experience. This is a sock weight yarn with 3 plies, and 437 yards per 100 gram skeins. A halo effect is normal with this yarn. It is a characteristic of the linen and alpaca.
