Yarns by Weight

Yarn weight describes how thick a yarn is. Our yarns range from the thinnest, which is lace through to the thickest, bulky.

We characterize the yarn weight based on the yardage per 100g. The categories and their approximate yardages are as follows:
Lace: 874-1,350yds
Fingering/Sock: 437yds
Sport: 274-328yds
DK: 231-246yds
Worsted: 219yds
Aran: 186yds
Bulky/Chunky: 140yds and under

Our yarns are generally sold by the kilo. Skeins are packaged as 10 x 100g to equal a kilo. To explore yarns available in different size skeins, please use the "Yarns by presentation" category.
