This toothy, highland wool base is similar to the Zebra DK, but is a little thicker. It is pre-dyed with gray to black segments running through it to add interest. The yarn takes the dye well, but speckles spread on this yarn. The yarn makes a lovely fabric which keeps its shape really well when knitted. It would make a fabulous woven fabric. We swatched with a #4 needle, but a size #5 or#6 needle would also work for this yarn.
