Yarns by Construction

Construction describes how many strands the yarn is constructed from. A 2ply yarn is made from 2 strands of yarn twisted together, and an 8ply yarn is made from 8 strands. Single ply yarns, or singles, covers yarns made of a single strand of yarn, but also describes yarns that have more complex constructions such as boucle yarns, air-blown yarns and chainette constructions.

Our yarns are generally sold by the kilo. Skeins are packaged as 10 x 100g to equal a kilo. To explore yarns available in different size skeins, please use the "Yarns by presentation" category.
