Sparkle DK - Sample Skein

Sparkle is now available in garment weight! This has a little twist on our famous Sheila's Sparkle sock weight. The DK version has a bit of silk added to make a luxurious garment yarn, and the merino is non-superwash.

In fact, it shares the same blend as Sparkle Select weight: 75% merino, 20% silk and 5% silver toned Stellina fiber. Stellina is a non-metal polyamide fiber which is really soft and avoids the harshness of metal base sparkle fibers.

Note: too much dye in the dye bath will result on the excess being attracted to the Stellina, and the fiber will not sparkle.  A light hand with the intensity of the dye solution as you learn to dye this fiber, and marvel at the lovely results.
