Our Organic Merino Aran has a gentle, toothy texture. It has a traditional aran construction, with 3 plies and not too much twist. This works well for sweaters and makes beautifully balanced cables. The yarn dyes well — the fibers soften the colors and speckles spread softly on this yarn. We’ve used a #8 needle for the swatch and this creates a drapey fabric, but you could go down to #7 or #6 for more body.
