Cloud 874 - 10 x 50g SKEINS

This is the ultimate stranding yarn, adding a gentle halo to any fabric — a perfect alternative to mohair. The brown swatch above shows Cloud 874 stranded with Tibetan 3ply. The gauge when stranded with Tibetan 3ply is 16 sts and 28 rows over 4in. Cloud 874 is brushed Suri alpaca with a silk core. The yarn is super soft and takes the dye really nicely — the colors spread gently, giving a watercolor effect. The alpaca content means that colors appear soft and slightly muted, but strong colors can be achieved with effort. You can use a wide range of needle sizes for this yarn (we went from 3mm to #8s) creating an open drapey fabric. Our standard skeins for this yarn are 50g.
