Bluefaced Leicester Wool

Bluefaced Leicester fiber has a beautiful shine and a long staple length, which makes it hard wearing. It pills less than other varieties of wool and pairs incredibly well with silk due to their combined luster.

Our Bluefaced Leicester Wool, or BFL, is British. It comes from small farms all over the UK but particularly in Wales, and is purchased through the British Wool Marketing Board on our behalf. The fibers are then scoured and superwash treated in the UK to the highest possible environmental standards.

Our yarns are generally sold by the kilo. Skeins are packaged as 10 x 100g to equal a kilo. To explore yarns available in different size skeins, please use the "Yarns by presentation" category.
